We are hoping to set up an equipment library here in Hereford, and i am also doing a research project into the subject. Does anyone have information such as business cases or articles which i could use for background research?

I led a national project on infusion device safety for the NPSA and made a number of recommendations in a "safer practice notice" issued May 2004. The work recommended standardisation, centralisation and training developments. The project also carried out a number of illuminating audits and a full evaluation was carried. You can obtain all of these documents from the "solutions toolkit" which can be found on www.pasa.nhs.uk/infusiondevices
