I have a LIFE AID 'Thumper' Cardiac Resuscitator model 1004 which is no longer required.

This is a pneumatically driven chest compression device used during cardiac arrest. It was made by Michigan Instruments Inc of America, I don't know who the UK agents are. It is complete in a rigid plastic carry case but needs servicing (the pipeline hose is perished).

It may be of interest to someone doing research or for display in a medical equipment museum.

I have to admit though, that this particular exhibit had been in a cupboard in our A&E for 20 years and we didn't know about it. Just proves how hard it is to find everything!
