I don't know any maintenance technicians, doing the job out there, that have any real status.

Notice we do not even have a job profile in the new job evaluations - the NHS does not know where to put us or how we fit in the scheme of things.

Ive spoken,at som lenght, with both hr bods and fulltime union representatives re: the agenda.
Both are aware that there does nt seem to be a all encompassing ebme tech descrition, however they ae also aware that we (ebmes) dont all do the exact same job. Unlike a "g grade nurse" for example or a radiologist.
Thet say that it will eventually come round to scuffling between parties to come up with a position within your trust to exactly pinpoint what your post does.
But lets not get on a complete downer over this, until something happens and there are examples to work from who knows what will happen.
