If I am correct in my understanding of this pay review then those technicians on MTO3 will get a large pay rise by jumping up one spine point but those on Estates Officer grade EO2 will only get the basic 3.6% rise despite doing the same job.Is this correct?.

This is my understanding also...up to MTO3 ripples up one spine point as well as the 3.6%

mmm..Just re-read it all and not so sure now. Normal incremental progression crops up in there if you are not at the top for > 12 months.

If you are at the top of the scale (for greater than 12 months) then I assume you jump up one point immediately. This could cause arguments where within the same trust there are technicians employed as MTO's and EO's, doing the same job, and previously on the same pay point but now there is a difference of £974 in their respective pay.

There shouldn't be salary scale out for anyone until after acceptance of Agenda 4 Change. Then it will be 103.225% of last years salary. If Agenda 4 Change is rejected we go back to negotiation.

I thought we'd signed up to a three year deal - but we didn't seem to get anything on the 1st April ! When can we expect to actually see some money in our pay packets from this "new" deal ? mad

We are just out of an afc meeting which was held by Unison.

There is no pay award available to us until we agree and vote for afc. If this is passed then we get the agreed 10% over 3yrs.

From what we have been told, there is a very bleak outlook for most staff if afc goes ahead. It could lead to wage freezes for people like us until new recruits catch us up on the 1 band we are allocated to. Then if the pay awards dont catch us up in 5yrs then we drop down to the figure in use at that time.

I have just returned my MSF vote with a big X in the NO box.

I hope you all get the chance to hear from a union.

As the non de plume indicates I am a member of the EESA NHS Advisory Committee.I would welcome any comments on Agenda 4 Change from members of AMICUS particularly EESA members before we have our committe meeting and advise whether we should endorse the proposals. Some AMICUS (MSF) have already voted but EESA will be the last to receive their papers. We are still uncertain about EME Tech grades as the panel responsible is falling behind their datelines for the regrading. There is also little feed-back on RRP after 2008 which may mean pay freezes for some staff. confused
