During a briefing today we were led to believe that med physics staff scored very highly with thier job profiling, with some individuals getting a pay increase of 50%.....Is this true?

If so would it be possible to see some job descriptions so we may use these as the benchmark?

I am a senior mto4 within the mechanical workshop services section which covers Anaesthetics, surgical instrument repairs and manufacture, R&d and 'traditional' mechanical engineering production duties.
Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
I am sure that there are other colleagues out thier who would find this information very useful

I can't believe for a minute that this is true. It is certainly not the experience of the other Medical Physics staff who have posted here.

According to an article in a Scottish newspaper some months ago the domestics were losing anything up to 12%. The simple fact is that most trusts are in serious debt and will try anything to cut the wage bill. AFC has given them this chance. I expect to be losing £500 (minimum) from my salary come agenda for change i.e top of MTO3 scale to top of Grade 5 scale.

Has anybody been given any help from their trusts with regards to job evaluation for AFC. One of the biggest changes ever to hit the NHS is due to take place in less than 2 months and as yet no one seems to have any idea what grades we will be or how this will change our working lives

We have been told to only put the core areas of your job in your job description and put all other jobs as extras. We were told this may be the only way to get a decent grade when A4C comes in.

Out of interest there is a document on the Guardian web site saying that East London NHS have pulled out of A4C, has anybody heard of this or any information on this

"NHS pay deal could hit one in six" is from July 8th
This at least shows some media interest/awareness..
why isn't it on News at Ten or equivalent?
