Hello everybody. With the kind permission of one's colleagues, I detail below the results from the Aintree jury. Aintree is of course an E.I. site. Formerly 2 and 2+3s - Band 5.(Techs) Formerly 3+3s - Band 6.(Specialist senior techs) Formerly 4+3s - Band 7. (Section Managers) Hope this is both helpful and encouraging. Have a great day.

Thanks for that info Edcar - apologies for being pedantic but is this result based on matching compared to:
1). February 03 Job-profiles 2). January 04 Job-profiles
or
3). April 05 Job-Profiles?
Just wondering which set of goalposts was used on the day that's all.....

Disco Do you have a centralised EBME type department or do you have techs in specialised areas ie Renal, Critical care, NNU, Theatres, Radiotherapy etc.?

You can't appeal against your AFC grading!
What you can do is:-
REVIEW (Prove incorrect / incomplete information was used in the Match/Evaluation. Outcome is binding, can be further downgraded. You have 3 months from assimilation)
APPEAL (Prove breach of process. Grievance based. You have 6 months from assimilation)
Either way "Resistance is Futile" As for the paperwork, we have here an Assimilation Surgery which is set up to deal with the above processes. I was under the impression this is how all trusts were operating. Sounds like your Trust has serious shortcomings in communicating AFC to staff, and seems to be rushing AFC through. Maybe you could use this in your Review/Appeal? As for techs here, we are being held up by RRP issues but i believe we have been Matched as no Evaluation panels have sat yet.

thanks, yes our trust are rushing it through. thats proberly why there is such uproar with all departments over new pay scales. There are a lot of unhappy departments wanting a lot of questions answering. Especially our med eng dept.
Lets just hope no-one elses trust are rushing it through and making mistakes.
Disco:
Can you explain the job description of your mto3 technicians who are band 6? Are they specialised in certain areas?
Our department looks after renal, theatres, critical areas and many more but were given a band 5!!!
