All roads lead to Plymouth I reckon. Top night out. Or failing that Cardiff! Even better!

I believe the acknowledged point of the middle of the UK is somewhere in Lancashire.

For those "darn sarf" that means there is life above Watford

On second thoughts, how about an EBME road-show? One last grand tour by John Sandham and his gang before he retires to spend some of that money he’s been squirreling away? All aboard Biomed Battle Bus! smile

London may be a good option. Easy for trains - no driving - Plenty of Hotels including the Union Jack Club. smile If we block booked we could get a good deal. If there is serious interest in this, I would be willing to look into options.

Surely it should be either the Sergeants’ Mess or the Bramshill Hunt at Arborfield, eh John? wink

I don’t wish to be negative, Mate, but I doubt that you’ll get many takers. For most of us, all that was a long time ago, and of the few guys that I have bumped into since those days, most have (like myself, I must say) well and truly “closed the hanger door”. frown

However, there would seem to be a few wannabes about on this forum, so perhaps you’d get a better result with them! smile

I thought John had suggested an EBME meet up, not just an ex-forces one.
