Dear Sir,
We have received few machines with a permanent ink marking message " NOT WORKING" .All of us know the issue with the markings once we repaired these units.some users might have done it unintentionally. We made an awareness program to the staff and this issue has brought down to very minimal. But is there any cleaner available to remove these permanent marks or any special markers available in the market for this purpose?Your opinions are welcomed.
Regards
Sajeev

Billing the user department for a new cover (etc.) or for the extra work done (time taken) in removing the graffiti might wake them up a bit! Personally, I have zero tolerance for this sort of abuse. Have they not heard of stickers, tie-on tags, or even surgical tape?

Meanwhile, label remover (available in aerosol form from various sources), plus a bit of elbow grease usually does the trick, depending on the material in question. Trouble is that sometimes the finish ends up being so disfigured that is has to re-painted, or disguised with stickers etc. All a great deal of wasted time due to the thoughtless action of ignorant user staff! frown

I'm with Geoff on this. You must find a way to stop this vandalism. We used to supply the users with adhesive labels. It took several attempts to find a label that was'nt too sticky, the first stickers we tried were a real b@$?&£d to remove. We now supply the users with a decontamination form with a space to include the reported fault. We do not accept any equipment without a completed decontamination form.

I tried taking my dad to A&E the other day with 'NOT WORKING' written on his forehead, funnily enough they wouldent accept him until I gave them a clear description.
