I've just received my VRCT annual renewal form.

This year (for the first time, I think) they have the option to pay by credit card.

However, thay also ask for your security code as well as the usual credit card details.

With the current state of the Royal Mail, I strongly urge you to consider a different method of payment if you are considering renewing.

The Royal Mail is not secure

Cheers for the warning Huw, I paid by credit card last year, now I'll get my cheque book out....

Maybe there is an on-line renewal - but I don't recall seeing a link.

Yes, I've dug out the old cheque book as well.

I've had too much mail go missing to entrust my security code to paper.....

If i remember correctly (only a few years back) the IEE allowed you to have a direct debit... but i could be wrong, i was a student at the time and hardly ever sober :-$

No you are not wrong! The IEE (now IET) have taken my subscription through direct debit for years.

I've emailed IPEM to this very fact this morning. Maybe an idea if everyone else does the same. Power in numbers, dont you know.

Don't pay the renewal fee, don't join the VRCT in the first place, let the powers that be know that if they want us registered they should pay. As KM rightly states "Power in numbers, dont you know".

Ask the question.

What is the money being used for.

I agree strength in numbers.

Wasted ('tut'), why do you think they have the renewal in December - your £10 goes towards the IPEM xmas party!
