The thing that I was trying to remind people was not to just take the word of the alternative supplier that a battery is identical to the OEM.
One company did state this and rapidly had to retract the statement. (see the thread in July 2006).
When we had 591 and 598 infusion pumps here, we used to use an alternative supplier until we had a number of transport problems.
We then checked all the batteries supplied and none lasted as long as the OEM (and no I don't believe that a generation of nurses came along who actually plugged the devices in).

I have just contacted Combatalexander for details of their Optimiser battery analyser. The manufacturer has taken it off the market due to the RoHS regulation,but it is probably still available in the good USofA!!
