On the Datex Cardicap II patient monitor, there is a 25way data out that can be connected to a serial printer. Does anyone know the baud rate, stop bits, emulation and other settings that the printer must be set to ?

In the setup options on the monitor, you can only change the type of printer i.e. Kodac, Epson etc. Any help please, or do I keep plodding through the various combinations ?

Regards.

Andy,

We have a manual, if thats any help.
Transmission rate 1200 baud
8 data bits
no parity
1 start bit
1 stop bit
We connected it to a pc via hyperterm.
The output is in strings of 3 digits. If you don't have the manual I can fax the appendix to allow you to decode the data stream.
The manual does not state printer emulation, and we didn't try at the time.
