Fixed - it's a new forum and I didn't have the permissions set up correctly.

Sorry frown

Qui s'excuse, s'accuse!

But, don't worry ... all will be forgiven if you give your opinion about what is being discussed! smile <--- OK now

I think it's a great idea, really smile
I just hope that people will contribute, I know how difficult that can be.

Still, even a small amount is better than none. (Not that 1500 service manuals is a small amount.)

Good luck to your mate, Ed wink

Well yes, your place is a bit extravagant, I guess. wink

I like to use the word shed in the same way that I use biomed. That is, as a shorthand that saves having to list all the either-or's ... workshop, Portakabin, office, back corridor, warehouse, industrial unit, ex-mortuary, hut or (as in your case) palace!

Meanwhile, for those of us happy to share, but concerned about copyright, copyleft (yes, there is such a notion), the preservation of intellectual property rights, and all the rest ... the concept of Creative Commons may well appeal.

This is a new one on me, and I only came to hear about by chance on the radio last night. smile

Copyleft

Hi all, first of all I would like to personally thank all for contributing to the service manual library! We have had 50 donations from you guys. So hats off to all!

It has been reported that some of the manuals are downloading ok but they cannot be opened (IE Acrobat reports a corrupted file). This is a problem with the way the php code interpretates file handling (its absolutely stupid). But a fix is being developed right this minute! Sorry for the inconvenience!

No worries, Mate. Rome wasn't built in a day (and neither was Jeddah). Keep up the good work. 'Tis a noble, worthwhile and much needed project.

Indeed the question "is it on Medi-Server"? is already becoming heard. A place has been reserved in the Biomed Hall of Fame for "your friend", believe me, and deservedly so. smile
