Meanwhile, I'm told that 427,000 people emigrated from Britain last year. That's the highest number ever recorded and up 25 per cent on the previous year. I wonder where they all went.
"Basket Case Britain"? Heck, it's been that way for as long as I can remember! Always lurching from one crisis to another. And yet (need I add), hundreds of thousands still flock to our shores. Poor, misguided fools ... or switched on people who know a good deal when they see one?

you playing in its recovery?
You know, the continuous moan:- why don't
they do something? Who, exactly? How about "the man in the mirror"!
