This is true to about 10 mins ago, 8:10 pm Queensland time, (ie, it's pissin' down here) Is there an equivalent in the UK? This is the most popular web site in Oz (everyone watches BOM !!)

And there I was thinking it was only the English who are preoccupied with the weather! We also "enjoy" a good Weather Forecast. But the Shipping Forecast on the radio is the one we all love the best!

Strangely enough, it's cold, damp and misty in South Yorkshire this morning as well.

One of the things I love about Oz (Canada, the U.S. etc.) are the evocative place names.

cold, damp and misty? we dream of cold damp and misty. In an environment this hard, storms like this are a blessing indeed. Rain tanks full, dams full, driveway buggered but never mind !

Funny that. Myself, I still dream of dirt roads!

My Aunt lives in Townsville, Qld. She called over the weekend to let us know they'd had 1.2m of rain in the last few days. Not sure if she was boasting or wanted sympathy!

That's a lot of rain.

"Climate Change" (what was previously referred to as "Global Warming") must be to blame, no doubt. NOT!

It also rains on a Biblical Scale from time to time in places like Jeddah. That's why they have those massive storm drains there. Pity, though, that they're usually clogged up with garbage, wrecked pick-up trucks, dead goats and all the rest.

And it's rained here in the last couple of days, not the massive rains of a couple of months ago. temperature still 25-32 degrees so a bit muggy. Off to play football in a couple of hours so enjoy your weather wherever you are.

Can you now pray to "Stop" the rain Neil ? otherwise we are going to drown!
