Hi,
One of my Fabius' machines is giving erratic readings for Tidal Volume during Ventilation Mode with the following settings:
PMax = 40
Vt = 600
Frequency = 12
Ti:Te = 1:2:0
TiP:Ti = 10
PEEP = 1
(O2 flow is set to 10)
The machine has passed Leak/Compliance Tests, System Tests, Flow Calibration and O2 Sensor Calibration.
The screen shows a Vt of 580ml.
I have confirmed this with Datex S5 ACM and Fluke VT+.
When the Vap2000 (SEVO) is switched to 3%, the screen jumps to a Vt of 650ml +.
This conflicts with the S5 which stays at 580ml. The VT+ also measures 580ml.
The measured SEVO %age on the S5 also sits at around 3.5%.
I have exchanged the VAP2000 and the S5 but the difference remains. My other Fabius' also display similar readings as above.
I have emailed Dan at Drager, but wondered if anyone has any suggestions...
One of our US Navy Anaesthetists is fast losing confidence in the machine.
Thanks for your help...
