We have a problem with our pro focus not being able to pick up a work list or send images to our PACS. BK Medical not to helpful, anyone have or had similar?

Hi Darren,

I my experience 9 times out of 10 when this type of problem arises with Ultrasound machines it is not an issue with the machine. It is likely to be one of the following(sorry if you have already tried these!).
Check the network port on the wall where the machine is plugged into, always try another network port, which is on the pacs network or VLAN(unless IT uses port security-please check this first). Use a known good network cable. Check with IT and the Pacs Manager that there are no problems currently with the Pacs and the Worklist servers. Ask them to ping the BK Scanner from their workstations. Happy to help further if you require anymore advise.

Cheers for the reply. We have tried all this and more and cannot get the machine to communicate. Have finally had a response from BK and they have agreed to come in and have a look. They have checked the log files and have found a DICOM communication problem. However, they still say that before this error occured the machine was functioning ok.
We know it wasnt as their are no images on pacs and no work list has ever been downloaded.
All our other ultrasounds have no issues.
We can ping/echo test pacs and work list server from the machine but cannot ping the machine from pacs...etc. we find this odd but BK say this is correct.
