More scrounging required, I'm afraid.

We have been given some Arcomed VP-5005's. Good pumps, of course - but not a whole lot of use without the drop sensors. The charity cannot really afford £ 160 apiece, so if anyone has any going spare ... well, that would be nice.

What would be even nicer would be if someone has the nous about how to disable (the need for) the drop sensors altogether (as can be done on another, similar, pump). I'm told it can't be done. Anyone ... ? smile

OK ... we need the Hardware Key which plugs into the drop detector port at the rear of the VP-5005 (to enable configuration changes and permit calibration adjustments to be made).

Anyone willing to make one available might like to get in touch by PM. smile

I was at the Bedford River Festival on Saturday where i met some guys manning a charitable stand from http://www.medaid.co.uk
There was a retired surgeon who had taken up woodturning, and was selling his wares to raise funds. I think this is a worthy charity requiring funds / old working equipment. I said i would try to raise some awareness. smile Please take a look at their website. smile

Good Man, John.

Tim Beacon (of Med-Aid) is one of our customers (that is, servicing and repairs at special low rates).

He is an impressive (or should I say, proactive) bloke.

Yes ... all donations are welcome, and definitely put to good use! smile

PS : still looking for a Hardware Key for Tim's Arcomeds.
