Hi all

I was wondering whether I could ask any of you for the contact details of some good medical equipment suppliers in the UK who ship to countries in Europe (other than just the UK).

In particular, I'm trying to find suppliers who sell spare parts for the following makes of infusion pumps:

Alaris
B.Braun
Graseby

Unfortunately the local suppliers in my country are not very helpful with spare parts unless you tell THEM to fix it for you. Needless to say therefore, they all refuse to sell you parts, calibration tools, service manuals etc etc.

I was wondering if perhaps the suppliers in the UK have less issues with selling things elsewhere in Europe, without neccessarily reporting to the local suppliers in other countries that "client [x] from your country has just contacted me for parts but he's in your region...could you assist him instead". That usually lands me in trouble :-/

My suggestion here is that you consider coming to an arrangement with an independent service provider here in the UK who would be willing to send stuff out to you on a regular (or even, as and when) basis.

Can we assume no special problems where you are with stuff coming in (mail, "DHL"*, air-freight etc.)?

If you want to PM me, I can give you the contact details of a company whom I happen to know has interest in, shall we say, partnering with biomeds outside of the UK. Not only parts in fact, but tech (and, I dare say, moral) support in general.
