Welcome to the forum.

The "Er" error codes all indicate what the manual calls "an internal malfunction":-
Er1 : Motor speed too fast.
Er2 : Motor speed too slow.
Er3 : Too many encoder pulses for rate set.
Er4 : Zero encoder pulses.
Er5 : RAM data invalid.
Er6 : Watchdog failure (too slow).
Er7 : Watchdog failure (too fast).
Er8 : Invalid syringe calibration data.
Er9 : Motor malfunction.
See what you get at the Self-Test routine:-
1) Switch off
2) Hold down Start button and switch On/Off switch to On
3) (display will show - - -)
4) Enter 1 2 3 using the rate buttons
5) Press Stop to commence Self-Test sequence
The pump should now proceed through the tests. Press Stop to move on the next test, or Start at any time to exit the Self-Tests routines. There should be twenty or so tests.
I am guessing that you are reading Er8 as ErF ... so pay particular attention to Test No.3 (Syringe Calibration Check). This will show a "Sy" code (Sy0 to Sy8) according to the type (manufacturer
etc.) of syringe you are using (or plan to use).
Check out Test No.4 as well. This is the Default Syringe Size. "d00" should be a safe bet.
Er8 may be due to RAM not retaining data when the pump is switched off. Take a look at battery B1 on the Control PCB.
Let us know how you get on.
