All I'm prepared to say at this stage is that I reckon it's a pity that countries don't spend as much on Public Health issues as they do on (say) nuclear weapons programmes!
But (as I have said before) in the end surely it's inevitable that the bugs will win, and then Man (the destroyer) will finally get his comeuppence!
Meanwhile ... thank you very much, all you "medical tourists".
It's interesting to see that the NDM-1 has been mainly brought back from India & Pakistan following Cosmetic Surgery. Are they going there due to the cheaper price and the fact that Cosmetic Surgery is not offered on the NHS (rightly so)? What's going to happen when other operations can only be offered privately and the price is prohibitive in this country? International pandemic maybe!!!!

Loc: Temporarily in "The Smoke" but...
Are the health tourists going to pay for their care in the UK when they are seriously ill from bringing back NDM1.....or the NHS and tax payer? Why do I bother asking? I know the answer. Robert
