Dear all
I have a Criticare 508 Patient Monitor.I have calibrated the nibp pressure with mmHg meter. The problem is that the initial inflation pressure is very low that is 110mmHg. So in its first attempt it fail to get reading, then it inflate again goes to 125mmHg & again no reading same way it gets a reading after 3 or 4 attempts. the patients are not satisfied with it, they need to get reading in first attempt. Can any one share their experience if i can change any setting in setup so that the inflation pressure should start from say 160 or 170 mmHg.
How to get into its setup menu.
Hope to get quick reply.
Thanks in advance & regards

Sounds like the monitor is in neonatal mode (or paediatric) hence the low starting pressure. Don't know how to access the set ups however but perhaps someone else can assist with that,

Thanks Davec
Yes i am thinking on same line. There is a CONFIG button by this u can change some settings, in there Spo2 mode showing ADULT, dont know about NIBP settings as there is none.
Thanks for your help anyway. Hope some one can get my answer.

I think the Criticare NIBP takes its readings as the cuff inflates and not while deflating like Dinamap etc. It is claimed this is more comfortable for the patient.

Dear Sir
Can u explain a bit why it is getting low inflation pressure during first two attempts. I have replaced the cuff & pipes with new one, but still same behaviour. Is there any operating manual for it so that i can get the picture of what may be the problem.
Waiting for quick reply.
