Can anyone please supply the key press sequence to do a print (self) test on one of these printers? As is always the way the owners have lost their user manual. boggle

I wish I could remember, John (but I can't). I assume you've carried out the usual procedure (that is, holding down buttons on a trial and error basis). Anyway, your friends at MIUS are bound to know! Why not give (one of) them a ring? smile

Dear john
I have not used UP21, but might it help as we have used 895, PRINT & COPY button same time when pressing power on button. Hold it & there is a sound. Then we can print the test page..
Best of luck.. Sorry for incomplete info..

Thank you all very much for your help and suggestions.

The above from StaggS works only if you have an image saved in the printer memory already. rolleyes

I was looking for a way of self testing the printer on the bench without any other equipment connected. I got the info I needed from Alan at AGX holdings, Sony repair agents at...

http://www.agxuk.com/ Thanks Alan!

As you need to access the service mode to do this I will post this info in the appropriate place.

Cheers - John smile

Hi Huw, I was hoping to access the above link to produce a self test print without image (as the printer is in the workshop and the stack in use in theatres!) but it delivers an access denied message,is it now a dead link?
