Wasn't someone on here looking for LCD display stuff the other day? think

Anyway, I've just come across this wealth of information.

Also this. In case anyone doesn't already know, AUO is a major manufacturer of LCD screens. Also in the UK (as is generally the case, other suppliers are available). smile

Here's a brilliant site that I came across recently. smile

There's an absolute abundance of information there (a lot of it amusing, as well).

If only medical equipment sites were as informative as this! whistle

There's a wealth of interesting stuff here (plus some nice techniques) when you've got an hour or two to go through them:- iFixit Guides! smile

I've just stumbled across, by accident (as so often is the case) this nice little haul.

There's some good design information there. Using modern electronics, as well. smile

What with all the talk on other threads about "New Gangs" and such like, it seems that there has been some consolidation on the other side of the Atlantic.

It looks like BiomedTalk, previously linked to from sites such as TechNation, ImageTalk and META has now been brought under the protective wing of ECRI.

Those who may be interested might like to check this out, and register if considered worthwhile. smile

Here's another useful site ... and from a different perspective than the ones many may be used to.

The Product Guides appear to be quite handy. smile

Just came across these Tektronix manuals. Maybe they could be useful to somebody on here. smile

I have just found out that our sterile services department use Ambersil paint and graffiti remover to clean the "Hands off it belongs to our ward" messages that the nursing staff like to write on everything. They say it works well.

Useful tip of the day.

I thought it was only me who worried about removing graffiti* from medical equipment ... so I'm encouraged to hear that, Robert. smile

Meanwhile, here's an old link (on a completely different topic:- which brand to go for) that I found interesting.

* How many times have I been told:- "that's not our job", "I'm not paying you to do that" ... and such BS as that?

I have used T-Cut in the past, it works well but can start to dissolve some plastics. So finding something designed for the job is useful. I am not sure what our service guys use but will pass the tip on to them.
