Has any one heard that, all technicians will be losing the Recruitment & Retention (R&R) payment?

Has any one found away around this problem.

Personally, it's not a problem for me as I never received any. There was no nationally agreed figure so most trusts set it to zero.

I gather there's scope for local agreements but unless there are serious R & R issues in your area I can't see it happening I'm afraid.

You'll probably find that there's no way around this, as it was part of a equal pay case and in these cases you'll often find that the man will get a pay cut instead of the woman getting a rise.

Although with some trusts considering the enabling agreement, I doubt any trust will be looking for away around it.

There are a number of FTs around the country now looking to re-negotiate local T&Cs, which will include R&R.
