If your "Little Englander" snipe is aimed at me, Mike ... well, yet again I lay down my position:-
I don't believe in "special cases" (and never have). It should be one lot of "rules", and fair play for everyone. Meanwhile, if people don't approve of "the English" (our traditions, humour ... and all the rest), rather than inflicting yet more misery upon us, let them find their way out of the country without hindrance. They could try some of the other parts of the United Kingdom (so called) for instance.
Is there an app for that?
