To a certain extent, one of the reasons I moved.
However, there seems to be an overwhelming perception that under the current government and their "privatisation agenda", that job security is no longer guaranteed. The feeling is that Med Phys/EBME/whatever departments are ripe for companies to cherry pick not only to make an easy profit, but to ensure their products will be utilised. You might think this isn't a bad thing, but if anything, I'd imagine it will stifle competition.

As far as I'm aware, it's the only attempt at "privatisation" that has taken place so far.

I was hoping my hint would have worked, clearly not.

I can see that I am going to have to start deleting posts again. something I try to avoid. Thread hijacking is getting out of control.
