Qualifications: HND in Electronic and Electrical Engineering (grade profile 9 distinctions, 4 merits and 3 passes), IPEM part 1 training Pass with merit.

Experience: Worked in acute hospital environment for 4½ years. Day to day work mainly consists of servicing infusion devices, CPAP, multiparameter observation monitoring including NIBP, SPO2, Resp and ECG. Also undertake regular commissioning of new equipment prior to issuing to users. I have experience of repair on multiparameter observation monitoring, CPAP, tympanic thermometers and pulseoximeters.

Creation and review of servicing procedures for individual models of equipment has been undertaken as required, this has included taking a lead role in reviewing Graseby 500 volumetric infusion pump servicing procedures. Have undertaken review of support level for some devices as they were deemed to have been superseded and support should be reviewed in terms of level of repair provided by clinical engineering department and also stock levels of spares/consumables.

IET EngTech status applied for and awaiting confirmation.

Will consider undertaking a period of time in voluntary position to get to know department and local environment e.g.1 or 2 days a week for a number of months.
