Hello Guys,

Im having a problem to this electro surgical unit that i was repairing right now, at first the problem is dead set. I have traced the trouble to a shorted transistors at the psu and HF output board. I have replaced those transistors and the machine is powering on already. My problem is the alarm for neutral connection of the monopolar function. It keeps on active mode even the ground pad is properly attached. I do not have a circuit schematic for this unit and it is hard to trace the problem in the circuit...If anyone have an idea on how to deal the said problem, could you please help me?...

The machine is model RES 300 and it is made in China...

Thanks in advance...

Charles

the unit must see a res of below 20ohm on its neutral conection When the neutral electrode detect that the impendence is between 20Ω and 140Ω, the alarm will be activated and the ESU will be shut down .So depending on what type of neutral plate you are using i.e split plates etc you must ensure that the unit sees less than 20 ohms
