We have a couple of Graseby 500/3000 both indicating "System Check, Switch OFF and ON".
Neither unit will actually switch off, (have to disconnect the battery), and we can not access the Biomed functions.
Both are at software version 0.71.
The manuals do not cover this issue but someone mentioned re-initiallising the CPU card.
Can someone shed any light please?

Thanks in advance.

I vaguely recall the re-initialising procedure being on a technical bulletin rather than in the manual. Alas, I do not have it on me. I'll check my 'book of tricks' when I get home.

Sorry that I missed this yesterday. frown

The manual I have talks about "CPU board initialisation for Version 0.65/0.67/0.71 software" on page 7-29 or thereabouts.

They are talking about taking this action after the NV-RAM has been replaced (possibly in response to error codes 12, 13, 33 or 38). Is this what you are referring to?

It's a real "song and dance" (and it makes you wonder what sort of zonk designs this stuff) and similar (but needless to say, different) steps are listed for other software versions.

If you want me to send the .pdf, I shall need an email address. smile

Had numerous cases where fluid leakage down top hinge of door corrodes socket J403 on the Display board, giving this fault. As Jeff said what sort of "Zonk" designed this *****thing

Sorry guys, been out with the winter "lerg".

In my absence, one of my colleagues re-initiallised a brand new CPU card, and low and behold, it works.
I know what you were saying about the NV RAM Geoff but it looks like some new boards might need the same treatment

Incidentally, we have a copy of the re-iniallising procedure, thanks.
As for the other one, it looks like we have a faulty new CPU card.
This promises to be so much fun,....watch this space!

Anyone else having great difficulty obtaining giving sets for these pumps? Seems there are none to be had because the factory in Thailand got flooded.
