dear friend,

you test the bulb terminal while the unit is power on?
Does your bulb circuit is switching type or simply a transformer?
if it is switching type, try to test the transistors...or the small switching transformer...
how did you determine that bulb is good?
sometimes halogen bulbs have still continuity even if it is busted...

Charles,

It's a switching type, there's no output in the bulb terminal.
I suspected the bipolar IC FA5311B, switching power supply control and a mosfet FS5KM 16A high swtiching. The bulb is still good i exchanged with the other microscope.

Fuse is still busted when you turn on the power supply?...if yes, mosfet should be the problem. if fuse is ok upon power on but still no output, switching Ic might be the problem...But still check the connection between your board and halogen lamp, because that in that kind of circuit, usually there is no voltage detected in halogen lamp terminal if there is no load attached to it, meaning your connections must be good and your lamp must be ok before you could detect a voltage to lamp's terminal...

The connection for halogen lamp is directly connected to output of switching transformer right?

I found out that the problem was on IC switching power supply,
no output 12V in pins 4 & 5. The bad thing, it's not available in local market here in kuwait. Need to order in RS electronics.
