Not yet. How about quality in your opinion?

Hi Guys. Just picked this up. The use of "clone" or "alternative" thermal paper is not recommended by the manufacturers as it can lead to image quality and service issues with the printers. We at Imotek have been offered these papers many times but will not offer them to our customers for those reasons. The lower cost may seem attractive but could cost more in the long run - a bit like putting very cheap oil in your car.

No surprises there, Tony ... but "alternative sources" of thermal paper (and almost all other "consumables") have been about since the Dawns of Biomed. whistle

I believe that it's up to users (customers, owners) whether they choose to trade-off perceived savings against any noticeable (but perhaps acceptable) quality.

Although "the bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten", in the final analysis, it's the customers' call (decision).
