We have an old T2000 treadmill which I realise is well out of support but because it really hasn’t done that much work we would like to keep going.
The attached CASE stress system is reporting “no communication with treadmill” which would appear to indicate a treadmill control board failure as the CASE including comms cable, works fine with another treadmill.
Has anyone out there experienced these issues and found a solution?

I felt sure we had seen this one before ... but all I could find was this.

Meanwhile, here is the manual.

I remember reading somewhere that the "cal" procedure has been known to cure many ills with this unit; but not this particular problem, perhaps.

But I don't suppose it's the emergency stop button ... ? think

So far we have deduced that;
a. it is not the stop button
b. performing the cal does not help although it seems to run that satisfactorily.
c. the comms signals appear Ok

What we have found however is that attempting to manually control the treadmill via the 9pin D connector debug port we can control the elevation but not the speed. Applying a 0-5v signal to MANSPD does nothing.

Have you checked that you have the correct treadmill type and comms port selected in the system config/devices tab of the setup file (section 11 page 53 if you have the same manual as me)?

Sounds logical. Also, which model (era) of CASE are we talking about here? think

Can we assume a treadmill of the same type (T-2000)?

The CASE is a P2 series ,2006. and no, the other treadmill that does work with this is a T2100.

Has anybody used the Debug port on the treadmill to manually control it. Just wondering if I'm not doing it right. Could control the elevation but not the speed.

Trying to avoid having to purchase another treadmill.

We deduced that the Control Board must have been faulty so we purchased a replacement PCB and the treadmill now performs as it should.
I believe it wasn't performing the speed calibration correctly which then caused a comms error as it couldn't respond to the commands from the exercise system.

All good now.
thanks all for your input.

Nice chance to do a bit of component-level fault finding on the old board, then. smile
