Hye guys,
Quite sometime I am not post anything in this forum. Hopefully everyone can still willing to help me.
Is there anyone in this forum experienced installing new hydrotherapy pool in the hospital. I want to know, for technical requirements, what are normally that we need to be focus to.
Thanks guys.

You need to make sure that it doesn't leak! Similar construction techniques to a domestic swimming pool.If an overhead hoist is to be included, you need to ensure that its supporting elements are properly constructed, and structurally sound. Also, "wet locations" codes (regulations) apply to electrical supplies, hoists, etc., etc.
If you don't inspect ... don't expect.

If it's not on the ground floor, I would think the weight would have a significant bearing also.

Had 2 hydrotherapy pools planned for construction next year. Plans changed and now we will have 2 Jacuzzi's, 2 underwater treadmills and 2 anti-gravity treadmills instead.

Not a particularly wise* choice, in my opinion. I wonder what's underneath, on the second - and ground - floors. And Huw is right ... all that water has massive load bearing implications. Sounds like you need to get a Structural Engineer involved. How large a pool are we talking about here ... full size? * AKA, "an accident waiting to happen".
If you don't inspect ... don't expect.

Not too big, then ... but still 30 tonnes of water!

The 2 swimming pools that were cancelled where due to go on the 7th floor.

" Sounds like you need to get a Structural Engineer involved." Sounds like? I would think that was an absolute certainty !! Could be in the running for "understatement of the year" there Geoff

Well, yes - but I guess I was just trying to be gentle (as usual [always]); especially as we seem to be getting the basic info. on this one in what we might call a "drip, drip" manner (also not that unusual).

But, of course. And pleased that you noticed it.
