I think it would be a good idea to let others know our matching results and offer advice to others going through the matching process.

This would hopefuly ensure fairness for all and allow us to achieve a national picture of results.

To start the "ball-rolling" here is my result:

Previously an MTO 3 Electronics.
(jd stated HNC. Nothing spectacular, average engineer, on call, manufactures course etc., not responsable for other staff, many years experience, top of grade without any stars for a few years.)

Matched to grade 6 afc, Specialist Physiological Measurement Practioner/Clinical physiologist.

I am willing to provide my Job description to intersted parties.

I am absoultely amazed and will be in the pub very soon.

Tracy

Nice to hear some good A4C news.Did you get the Recruitment and Retention Premia? Med Techs should be eligible for this, although the actual amount is set at local level. We were matched at the end of February and have yet to learn what our band is, hopefully 6 as we act as Renal as well as EBME Techs.
Changing the subject how is good old Brum? Lived in Solihull for many years. Also used to service the gear in your Biochem Dept when field service tech for Corning Medical (early 80s).
As soon as we hear our banding I will post it.

Hi Tracy
We are at the top of MTO3, JD specifies HNC minimum, we do the usual medical equipment including anaesthetics and vents. We have ended up on Band 5, which in reality means a pay freeze on
AFC.I would appreciate a copy of your JD, could
you please send to david.brough@nth.nhs.uk

Regards

Dave

Hi Tracy

Could you please send me a copy of your job description too.
Ive been graded as band 5, was top of mto3 no star points, so basically a pay cut.
The word 'specialist' in your job description seems to be the key in getting that higher band!

Thanks Glyn

Our MTO3's got Band 5 and the MTO3's with additional points got Band 6.

The team leader / workshop supervisor / deputy department manager / whatever title you want to give him also got a Band 6 and his job is now being re-evaluated. We're hoping for a Band 7.
My job (head of department / service manager / whatever) didn't get matched and I've had to fill in a Job Analysis Questionnaire, so it could be some time before I find out my grade.

Anyone out there on Estates Officer grades rather than MTO grades ? If so, did you get the nationally agreed Estates R&R premium on top of your band ?

Roy.
