DJ although there is no nationally set level of rrp except for craftsmen, THERE IS an agreement that all those groups listed in annex R (2005 T&C handbook) should receive long term r&r to ensure to loss. There are very few trusts that are paying r&r for anything else than the no loss principle, and there is nothing in the agreement to force them to do so (anything above no loss is set locally, ours was set to £0). However since the premia is applied to groups if one technician needs r&r for protection purposes it should apply to all others doing that job, or risk equal pay disputes, but most HR will fight tooth and nail to resist (or more likely just say no and ignore you), so you will most likely need union support to pursue even this.
