Hey Ian, you little tinker you! But I can hardly admit (in open forum) to being a trouble maker, now can I?
Thanks for giving me this marketing opportunity, anyway, Old Buddy. How could they replace me (seeing that I’m irreplaceable, that is)? Cheaper, perhaps?
Yes, I’m “on a promise” at various locations (which may not be disclosed here), and will have something to do soon,
inshallah. But regarding “come back, all is forgiven” - I’m not sure that I could gain anything more in addition to the jolly experience I had with you guys the last time!
But while I’m on, kindly allow a quick word on behalf of “the agency engineer”. It’s not always easy, you know, coming in to a new environment and running as soon as you hit the ground. And remember, too, that the agency guy has to actually work, rather than get involved in any of the many diversions that regular staff can get caught up in. Also, if the agency guy gets sick and can’t come in, then he doesn’t get paid. And, lastly, don’t forget that what you might see on the invoice is not what the agency guy finally ends up with anyway. Having said all that, personally, I doubt that I could work any other way!
