Hi
We are looking for a new database and have been approached by info Health Solutions F2 Database. Their paperwork states that the database has been developed in conjunction with South Devon, cardiff and Plymouth NHS Trust.

If any of you have any experience using it, would you let me know what you think of it.

Hi Paul

Please look at our E-MAT system on this website
http://www.barwicksystems.co.uk
If you click the imaginatively named 'Download Now' link you will be presented with a form to download the TRIAL version.

You can perform the download and evaluate the application. It's practically the full version and a trial database is included in the download. A fully context sensitive help file is also available which includes a getting started tutorial slide show.
I can put you in touch with some of our current users

Is this the same Health Solutions that is part of the Welsh NHS (or another Health Solutions)?

If so, it certainly looks like they have plenty of resources at their disposal. But, as I have probably said before, I believe that truly great software is still written, not by project teams and committees, but by quirky and obsessive coders happy to be immersed in thorny problems for months at a stretch. Am I not right, Huw?

By the way, it’s interesting to note that the logo on the linked page is a red crescent (?). Still, I suppose it makes a change from the “medical cross” that has hitherto been the default (and much over-played) logo of UK medical companies for as long as I can remember (well, that and the PQRST ECG wave shape that is)! \:\)

Geoff

Just spotted this, it would appear not. Although I agree about the red crescent !

For the benefit of others Paul is referring to http://www.infohealth-solutions.com

Well, thanks for putting us right on that one, Richard.

Upon a second glance, perhaps it's an orb, rather than a red crescent. As many will already know, the red crescent is used as a medical symbol in areas of the world not happy with the idea of a red cross. That's why I found its use a bid out of place on the banner of a Welsh NHS webpage! \:\)

I've been approached by infohealth-solutions. Re their F2 product.
An update from anyone using it would be gratefully received.
