Hi just got my official letter about my banding,i am an Equipment Librarian and been match to Estates Maintenance Worker which are banned 4 but i have been given a band 3. Can anyone enlighten me as to why this is?
Ask your AfC team for details of your scoring against the National profile that they have used. Then for your appeal, go through each category highlighting the areas that you think require changing or addition of information. It may be useful to find a more relevant profile as well.

The estates profiles are available here http://www.nhsemployers.org/pay-conditions/pay-conditions-1994.cfm There are 2 Estates Maintenance Worker grades, the normal one and a "Higher Level" grade. As advised get a copy of your scoring and go through it carefully, preferably with advice from someone who knows AFC.
