Does anyone have any knowledge on the use of silver ion technology. Specifically, where medical equipment has been coated with this so as to protect from MRSA and other bugs to aid infection control. The research shows that this does not kill the bugs but stops the bacteria replicating and hence can reduce levels of bacteria and help in cross contamination.

Biocote is used in many applications including paint on medical equipment.
There are several links in their website, including this one to a study based in Wolverhampton.
