Our trust has for some years been charging us around £3.33 a month from our wages to park our vehicles.
Because out trust along with many others are in financial distress they decided here to make the employee's pay for some of the financial disasters by raising the payment from the above mentioned to a staggering £16.67 a month.
I would like to hear from others , how much they have to pay to park their car on trust property!!
Many Thanks
Bob

Bob Think yourself lucky. They're proposing to bring in parking charges here - £1 per day. We are not enthused! Of course they were going to fund Attendants out of this income. However somebody came up with a better wheeze. "Porters don't have to do much do they? Let's just add the task to their job description." They are not enthused!

Currently 6.00 per month here in Inverness. This has been in place since I started here in early 2000, although it was only a couple of quid back then. I believe it was vigourously opposed when proposed at first, but to no avail!! Always rumours of a price increase in the pipeline. I'm not surprised that staff at Dr G's are not enthused with the proposals there!!!

In Portsmouth it is banded dependant on AfC pay band. Top amount is £30 per month. Yes £360 per year!!! You are not guaranteed a place for this - and often do not get one at one site. We were promised extra security, video cameras etc. as this money was not being used to prop up the hospital's finances. But I see none, so where has the money gone? They have now introduced a residents parking scheme around the hospital as well as too many staff were parking in the streets. Robert

Ah Papa Doc do keep up. Down here at Head Office we have been paying a pound a day to park for the last five years now. Last figures I saw said that the hospital was on course to take £1,000,000 in a year from the car park on this site alone (visitors pay as well). The money is of course "ring fenced" for improving the state of the car parks although you would be hard pressed to notice them. The car park contractors take about £300,000 pa for the pleasure of dishing out £40 fines. It's funny how car parking charges at least are truly nationwide. Isn't it funny Papa Doc ?? :boggle:

So far here, we are not paying any staff parking charges! The unions killed off a proposal to introduce charging years ago and as Lincolnshire is rural, there is no realistic prospect of adequate public transport for commuting to and from the ULHT sites.

We were paying £5.50 a month and then we merged with the other Trust across town in April. In October they increased our charges (in line with theirs) to £11.00 a month although its now dependant on the number of days you work with £11.00 being the top charge.
Fees are again to be spent on improving parking facilities but......
Blooming glad I dont work in Portsmouth now!!!
