On behalf of Science Board and the Organising Committee, it is my pleasure to extend a very warm invitation to you to attend the 2010 IPEM Medical Physics and Engineering Conference (MPEC 2010) which will be held on the 14th - 16th September 2010 at the Jubilee Campus of Nottingham University. The format of MPEC 2010 will differ from previous years in that a number of sessions will be run by the IPEM special interest groups (SIGS) and, by including high profile invited speakers,will offer cutting edge sessions over the 3 days of the meeting.

MPEC 2010 will be held jointly with the Bioengineering 10, the third conference and exhibition of the Society of Bioengineering, providing even more opportunity for networking between those employed in the healthcare sector and academics. As in previous years, eponymous lectures, sessions for trainees, and a joint IPEM/IoP Medical Physics Group session will be included. By bringing together physical scientists, engineers and clinical professionals in academia, healthcare, and industry to share and disseminate knowledge, the conference will provide an ideal forum not only to achieve the IPEM?s charitable aims but also one in which participants can enjoy a pleasant social programme and networking possibilities. We look forward to welcoming you to Nottingham in September.
