Bio-Medical Engineering Technician
Medical Electronics Department

£20,710 - £26,839 per annum (Band 5)
37.5 hours per week with a requirement to work flexibly.

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated Electronics Engineer to join the Medical Electronics team. The department provides a comprehensive service, carrying out the routine calibration, maintenance, repair and management of the Trust's Medical Equipment.

You will be required to deliver a technical service to the highest standard, and have excellent communication skills. This will be an exciting opportunity for you to develop your skills and work within a respected multi disciplinary, customer focussed team. Based within a new laboratory located in the main hospital, there will be a requirement to work in various wards and departments, and on occasion visit outlying hospitals.

We are looking for a minimum qualification of HNC/HND in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, with some experience of mechanical and pneumatic systems. Ideally you will be eligible for inclusion onto the Voluntary Register of Clinical Technologists.

There will be a requirement for overtime, flexible working hours to fit in the working practices of hospital departments and occasional recall to work in emergencies.
