An Introduction to Anatomy and Physiology Short Course

This course will provide a grounding in key aspects of anatomy and physiology, in particular:-

• Anatomy of musculoskeletal system, including all major joints
• Physiology of the cardiovascular system, the neurological system and the musculoskeletal system
• Posture and the effects of immobility.

The course is aimed at those who are entering healthcare science, particularly clinical engineering. It will also provide a useful refresher course for those who may not have received formal teaching in this subject.

Course material will be supported by a comprehensive handbook for all attendees.
