HILDITCH GROUP OF COMPANIES APPOINTED TO CLEAR CENTRAL MANCHESTER & MANCHESTER CHIDREN’S UNIVERSITY HOSPITALS
Central Manchester and Manchester Children’s University Hospitals NHS Trust have appointed the Hilditch Group to manage the clearance of Booth Hall Children’s Hospital, Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, St Mary’s Hospital, The Royal Eye Hospital and the old Royal Infirmary Hospital. This massive clearance is the result of the Trusts move into the new Infirmary following one of the biggest PFI new builds in the country.
The clearance will involve identifying and selling any assets on the sites and clearing all the unsaleable items - leaving clear the sites in anticipation of hand-over to developers. The assets include some excellent quality plant, such as generators & boilers, portable buildings, medical, catering and grounds maintenance equipment and even antiques.
Catalogues will be available in July with a large auction of the contents being sold on site in September.
The Hilditch Group have been involved in most of the PFI contracts in the UK and have cleared over 70 major hospital sites. Mike Hilditch, Managing Director of the Hilditch Group, said of the Manchester clearance “winning this contract reinforces our position as the UK’s leading asset managers to the Health Industry”
