5th May 2009: Welch Allyn is proud to announce its status as an EMIS accredited partner, furthering its commitment to interoperability and shared standards.

The interface between Welch Allyn, leading manufacturer of frontline medical products and solutions, and EMIS, the UK's leading IT supplier in primary healthcare, enables seamless data exchange between the Welch Allyn CardioPerfect workstation and the EMIS LV clinical system.

The Welch Allyn CardioPerfect Workstation software integrates diagnostic results from a range of cardiopulmonary devices such as exercising and resting ECG, ambulatory BP, telemedicine and spirometry. The data can now be transferred in to the EMIS LV system allowing it to be reviewed on multiple screens within a primary healthcare practice, providing greater access to electronic patient data. It can also be securely transferred electronically between GPs and 24 hour emergency care¹ eliminating the need for paper copies.
