A Medical Technical Officer with practical experience of servicing medical equipment or an equivalent area is required to join the Medical Physics Department. The department is registered for ISO9001-2000 quality system and enjoys a high reputation for service delivery throughout the Trust which comprises of four hospitals, Dewsbury District, Pinderfields, Pontefract and Clayton and outlying clinics.
The person should have either practiced through the MTO structure in an established medical equipment management team within an NHS Trust or a commercial or private organisation.
Consideration will be given to candidates with no medical equipment experience with a track record of having worked in an area of technical work. The post holder will be involved in providing hands on technical services in relation to servicing and support of a wide range of medical equipment.
Appropriate qualifications in BTEC, City and Guilds or equivalent are required, with evidence of competence in the areas of technical services. There will be opportunities for training in the more specialised areas of medical equipment. Candidates must hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
