You are quite right Steve it is voluntary, although you wouldn't think that from the renewal letter, apparently. I had a conversation with a fellow biomed who will remain nameless, who has decided not to renew. His mind was made up when he read a statement at the bottom of the letter saying that if he did not renew his membership his employer would be informed! I've not seen the renewal letter but I'd be interested to hear other peoples' opinion on this. Is it voluntary or not?
