The Increasing Importance of Equipment Uptime
As the demands on healthcare continue to increase, there are higher pressures on equipment to perform at it's best and remain available for clinical use. Sustainable savings can be made by making better use of existing equipment and investing in appropriate maintenance contracts to minimise the risk of equipment failure.


Patient Deterioration; Addressing the human factor
It has become increasingly apparent that many doctors and nursing staff are unable to manage a deteriorating patient in an appropriate, timely fashion. Several clinical studies clearly show that delaying resuscitation increases the likelihood of organs failing due to inadequate oxygen delivery to these tissues. This in turn can lead to unexpected death, unexpected cardiac arrests, and unplanned admissions to the critical care unit.

Medical care is extremely complex and this complexity coupled with inherent human performance limitations, even in skilled, experienced, highly motivated individuals, ensures there will be mistakes.

In House Repair and Maintenance of the new Philips 867041 CO2 Unit
Unlike earlier generations that had to be factory exchanged, all parts are available to hospital biomed engineers for our new CO2 extension modules.

This session will demonstrate how swift replacement of damaged or failed parts can be undertaken – thus saving the hospital a significant amount of time and reducing costs – and how the unit can be calibrated and tested post repair.


Ultrasound servicing: Identifying the problem!
Being able to investigate the problem is half the job sometimes. With this session you will be taken through the switch-on sequence to help you determine what and where the problem lays. This will help when reporting the problem, meaning that we can send the correct resource and parts for first time right jobs.
