Hi everyone.
Our Trust is in the process of setting up an equipment library. As a TVN one of my interests is the cleaning and decontamination of dynamic mattresses.
I would be grateful for any advice on what is required re: washing and drying equipment etc.
I have visited an equipment library locally but would be keen to visit the best in the UK!

Let's hope they're all able to put modesty aside and "come clean" on this one, eh Helen?

You have visited the rest now visit the BEST we have an equipment loan store here at Wigan where we provide a service for cleaning and decontamination of dynamic mattresses. We also supply the ward areas with Infusion devices etc. There is also a part time TVN and we have a Nurse trainer. Not sure of your location we could send you some pictures if you are to far away. There are some pit falls as well as benifits for this service. Please forward me your email address.

Hi Helen well we have been up and running here for 14 months here and I think we do pretty well myself!
If you want to come along and visit us we are a team of 2 nurses, a support worker and soon to be an extra two band 2 posts to do decon and running round the hospital. We also are aiming to set up a northern forum in the new year. All welcome!
