A 360 degree parallel twin four-stroke (eg, a traditional Triumph) always sounds good (not noisy). On the other hand, a shallow V-twin (as in Harley) is bound to sound irregular, and jump about a bit.

But you're right, Leonius, there are a lot of so-called "born again bikers" around. There are also a load of irresponsible idiots racing on certain A-roads that I could mention, too. I wouldn't mind so much, but I do resent having my own journey delayed whilst yet another one is scraped up off the pavement. Natural selection at work, yet again? smile

Yes there is nothing wrong with noise, but just do not change your pipes to make it sound throatier - stick with the originals.

That is all I ask....please

... and when it comes to selling old bikes, the more original they are, the higher they are valued, believe me!

Nice to see that we've managed to get from blue LED's to blue exhaust pipes! smile

Only a very sad person would have a phone like that. wink

Actually, blue is a very useful colour. You see it everywhere. Like on my PC "desktop" right now. And on the friendly Blue Screen of Death when Windows crashes. I like blue. It's a comforting hue. Perhaps blue has finally found its true colours (as it were). I think that's what Shaun (the guy referred to in the first post) was driving at.

440–480 nm is where it's at!

Bikes have been around for a long time Leonius in fact they are even mentioned in the Bible!
